The company was founded in Germany by Mallorcan boatbuilder Emilio Rodríguez and is based on over 20 years of experience in craftsmanship and boatbuilding, more than 10 of which were spent in Germany. This origin combines the Mallorcan maritime tradition with German craft culture, precision and high quality standards.
The focus is on quality, attention to detail and sustainable work according to German standards.
Our team consists of certified boatbuilders, trained at the renowned HWK Lübeck vocational school for boatbuilding.
As a company founded in Germany with Mallorcan roots, we have international project experience in Germany, Denmark, Italy, France and Switzerland. Since 2026 we also operate our new boatyard in Alcudiamar, Mallorca.
We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques and high standards of precision and reliability.

Emilio Rodríguez

Managing Director
Emilio Rodríguez is the founder and managing director of LA VIDA BOOTSBAU S.L. He trained at the Bootshaus am Werlsee (formerly Rüdiger Werft) and has extensive international experience on projects in Germany, Denmark, France, Italy and Switzerland as an independent boatbuilder. Specialised in wooden and GRP boatbuilding.
Andreas Fels
Master Boatbuilder
Andreas Fels is a master boatbuilder with over 35 years of experience in traditional and modern boatbuilding in Germany and Switzerland. He has held the master craftsman title in boatbuilding since 2001. During his career he has worked at HanseYachts AG, Bootswerft Hinrich, Yachtwerft Wirz and the Bootshaus am Werlsee, among others. He was also the owner of Werft Berge Holzbootsbau (CH). His areas of expertise are wooden and GRP boatbuilding.
